The African network agency Brand Africa Global, is set to draw global attention to Southern Africa as it works towards the launch of its global African identityafrican.iam, nothing ordinary alongside its “200 Market” concept at the inaugural Botswana 200 Business Assembly.

The two-day occasion features the launch of african.iam on the evening of day one, 28 October 2013, followed by the Botswana 200 Business Assembly on day two, 29 October 2013.

Zimbabwean born CEO and Founder of Brand Africa Global and african.iam, Audra Wilson-Max says, “african.iam is the identity of Africans, whoever and wherever they are. In it we create an entirely new and dynamic global space and purpose for Africa and Africans”.

Through african.iam the idea of the ‘200 Market’ is uncovered at the Botswana 200 Business Assembly - the first african.iam event. The 200 Market brings focus to a land mass of over nine million square kilometers, equivalent to the size of the USA or China. With a GDP of more than US$600 billion and population of more than 200 million people, it includes Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Focus of the Assembly: Mining, Finance, Insurance, Agriculture, Travel and Tourism and the inevitable role of Technology.

The Botswana 200 Business Assembly is a marketing and investment platform that exists to drive to unlock the potential of the 200+ million market as well as escalate the potential of Botswana’s local, regional, African and global service.

Through a line-up of outstanding local, regional and international thought leaders and subject experts, the event concentrates on addressing and stimulating the assets of the markets Mining, Finance, Insurance, Agriculture, Tourism and Travel as well as the inevitable role of Technology.

One thousand business leaders, experts, investors and media, drawn from a combination of local, regional, African and international markets, will convene in Gaborone, Botswana’s capital city.

“While these are concepts that may take time to actuate, we are excited to be working on them. We feel they can affect perspectives and change the pace of possibility for Africa and Africans.” says Audra Wilson-Max.

Inspired by Brand Africa Global, african.iam is the identity of every African, whoever and wherever they are. The effect of african.iam is revealed in social and commercial activity built on three key anchors:  People- Building the capacity of African People,   Culture - Celebrating African Culture, Place- Promoting Africa the Place

Brand Africa Global is an African network agency focused on the value of branding and communication as critical ingredients to build compelling African brands that impact the [commercial + social] development and competitiveness of Africa & Africans.
