Jumia Gets Two Nominations At The World Retail Awards

World Retail Awards has nominated Jumia for two main awards this year. The first one is the "Pure Play Retailer of the Year" and the second one is "Best New Retail Launch".

World Retail Awards is a global platform that acknowledges and promotes excellence in the field of retail. Different retailers from over the world compete to win those highly sought after awards. The awards are covering key areas of retail and operation skills the thing that proves that whoever win those awards has deserved them. Furthermore, the awards offer a chance for retailers around the world to prove the creativity and innovation of their business to the whole world.

Jumia is an e-commerce business founded by Rocket Internet in Africa. It is an online shopping website that basically have many branches in different countries in the continent such as: Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco, and Ivory Coast.

In each of these countries there is a separate Jumia with an individual team. The website sells everything starting from fashion and accessories to electronics, mobiles and home appliance. Jumia has been nominated for those two categories as recognition of its achievements in the African Retail Market.
