Vicitude Partners Yellowfin SA On Business Intelligence

Posted on 02:02 by Unknown

Cape Town-based software specialist, Vicitude Business Solutions, has signed a reseller agreement with Yellowfin South Africa, the official distributor for Yellowfin in sub-Saharan Africa. The agreement will see Vicitude offering Yellowfin’s easy-to-use business intelligence (BI) solution, and associated training and implementation services, to its clients and businesses across South Africa.

Yellowfin is a recognised leader in business intelligence, having been measured among the world’s elite BI vendors by leading analyst firms and outscoring vendors such as SAS Institute, Microstrategy, Oracle, IBM Cognos, Microsoft and SAP Business Objects in independent research. Created with a focus on the user experience and the development of easy-to-use Web-based interfaces, Yellowfin makes business intelligence easy.

“Vicitude has been exposed to Yellowfin’s BI solution for over a year, offering it as an OEM reporting solution on top of our Active Service Desk implementations,” says Gerhard van Rensburg, Managing Director of Vicitude.

“We've always been impressed with the rich functionality yet ‘easy-to-implement and -use’ characteristics of the product. From the outset, our vision was to become a full partner and offer Yellowfin as a complete BI reporting solution.”

Premie Naicker, MD of Yellowfin South Africa, says the alliance will help expand Yellowfin’s presence throughout the region.

“Vicitude’s wealth of experience in a wide variety of customer environments, as well as its focus on the customer, were instrumental in the formation of the partnership. We believe it creates a solid foundation to meet the demand for consumer-oriented and easy-to-implement BI solutions.”

A customer-driven company, Vicitude’s focus is on those elements that allow it to provide real value, not just technology, in mutually beneficial relationships with its clients, according to Van Rensburg. Yellowfin’s focus on simplicity, interactivity and ease of use make the product a perfect addition to the company’s product portfolio.

“With the formation of Yellowfin SA, and the consequent benefits of localised support and pricing, the decision to partner and become a VAR aligned with our strategy perfectly. Having already built up extensive experience around the solution, Vicitude is ideally positioned to hit the ground running, with the capability to provide our customers with the sales and service support they've come to expect,” says Van Rensburg.

“Yellowfin has a deep understanding of the everyday problems faced by businesses, and we look forward to working with Vicitude to help South African companies achieve improved agility and better insight,” says Naicker.
